12-month work warranty

We stand behind the detail.

What is included

For 12 months from final delivery of each agreed work package, CDX provides priority correction of our errors, minor updates and minor changes to that package at no additional charge. This covers the supplied drawings, models, documents and data-preparation deliverables within their agreed scope.

What counts as a minor change

Examples include correcting text, labels or references, updating a small number of approved values, and modest layout or contact-detail changes that preserve the original equipment configuration and deliverable structure. We confirm coverage before starting; there is no surprise invoice for a warranty request.

New scope is discussed first

A new product variant, redesign, substantially new chapter, large-scale remodelling, new migration dataset or materially changed requirements may be new work. We explain the distinction and provide a separate quote for approval. Correcting an error in our agreed work is not charged as new scope.

How to request support

Open a project message or contact request headed Warranty. Provide the project reference, affected file and revision, a description of the issue and the approved replacement information where relevant. Do not continue using a document you believe is unsafe; contact the responsible technical authority.

Priority and verification

Warranty requests are prioritised and assessed for impact and dependencies. We agree a response and delivery schedule after reviewing the issue; this is not a promise of 24-hour availability. Corrected technical content follows the original review and sign-off process.

Your statutory rights

This voluntary warranty adds to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. It does not limit those rights to 12 months or require you to accept a repair when the law provides another remedy.

Start date and work-package identification

The voluntary 12-month period starts on final delivery of the agreed work package, as recorded in the issue or handover record. Separate packages may have different start dates. A revised file issued to correct a covered issue does not remove any rights you already hold. If the start date or package boundary is unclear, contact us with your delivery reference so it can be resolved in writing.

What to provide with a request

Identify the project, filename, revision, affected page or feature and the problem you have found. Include a marked-up example or approved replacement source where available. Explain any immediate production, safety or operational concern. Keep confidential material within the authorised project channel. You do not need to diagnose the root cause before reporting a suspected error.

Assessment, cost and approval

We review the issue against the agreed deliverable and explain whether it is covered, needs clarification or involves additional scope. Covered correction and minor-change work is free. If an item is outside the voluntary warranty, we explain why and obtain approval of any charge before starting paid work. There is no fee merely for raising a good-faith warranty request through the portal.

Changed inputs and third-party edits

Changes to equipment configuration, source requirements, software versions or third-party files may require investigation. These factors do not automatically cancel your warranty. We distinguish an error in our delivered work from work made necessary by a later change and explain the proposed treatment. Preserve the original delivered file and identify subsequent edits where possible.

Technical review and release

A corrected drawing, model or instruction may still require review by your responsible technical authority before manufacture or use. We identify the corrected revision and affected references. You remain responsible for distributing the authorised issue and removing superseded copies from operational use under your own control arrangements.

Priority handling and dependencies

We assess urgency, impact, available source information and reviewer availability. Priority means covered work is brought forward appropriately; it is not a fixed response-time or continuous emergency-service promise. If an issue may affect safe use, refer it immediately to the responsible authority and follow the applicable equipment and site procedures.

Disagreements and remedies

If you disagree with an assessment, request a review through the project channel or Contact Us and explain the outcome you seek. We retain the issue history and provide the reasons for our response. This process does not prevent you from exercising statutory rights, seeking independent advice or approaching an appropriate regulator or dispute-resolution body.

Consumer guarantees and international engagements

The voluntary warranty is additional to non-excludable rights. Its time limit does not limit how long applicable consumer guarantees may apply. Remedies and responsibilities depend on the circumstances and applicable law. International engagements must identify the contracting entity, governing law and agreed service scope in writing; a website policy is not a claim that one set of terms overrides mandatory protections everywhere.

Policy version: 24 September 2026. Read with your written engagement and applicable law.
