Confirm restrictions before sharing or supplying.
Define the engagement
Cross-border projects must identify the contracting parties, currency, tax treatment, deliverables, governing law and authorised delivery locations. A starting website rate is not a final international quote. Confirm withholding, banking and local tax questions with an appropriate adviser.
Restricted information
Tell CDX before sharing material subject to defence, export-control, government-security or other special restrictions. Do not upload restricted technical data while the permitted recipients and locations are unresolved. Offshore delivery is not automatically suitable for every project.
Sanctions and end use
Parties must comply with applicable sanctions and trade laws. Relevant end-user, end-use and destination checks may be needed before an engagement proceeds. CDX may request clarification or decline work where lawful delivery cannot be established.
Location and subcontractors
Agree any country-specific access or storage limits in writing. Confirm the actual providers and safeguards for the engagement rather than assuming that Australian management means every person or server is in Australia.
Language and interpretation
Agree the controlling language of the contract and technical documents. Translation needs competent review, particularly for safety and legal content. A translated label must not be used to change the approved technical meaning.
No universal compliance claim
These policies support consistent practices but do not establish compliance with every law in every country. Product, industry and jurisdiction-specific obligations must be assessed by the responsible parties and their qualified advisers.
